Tell us what Dalston’s done for you, and what you’d do for Dalston[posted on 30th May 2014]

People in Dalston are already helping brilliant local charities through Dalston Bridge. They’re buying the Dalston Thing cocktail (£1 from each one goes to the fund) or selling their property through Currell Residential estate agents, and donating some of the money they make to the fund.

Now we want to know what else you would do to make a difference in Dalston. We’ll be in Gillett Square from 10am to 4pm this Saturday, crowdsourcing your ideas to shape the Dalston Bridge of the future. We’ll be asking you, ‘what would you give to Dalston?’. And because we think giving is a two way thing, and Dalston has probably done something brilliant for you, we’ll be asking you to tell us what Dalston has done for you.

In return, we’ll give you ping pong and play equipment, thanks to the good folk of Hackney Co-operative Developments and Universal Board Games. See? We told you giving was a two way thing.

Dominic Ellison of Hackney Co-operative Developments says, “We are very excited to be working with Dalston Bridge. Their work and HCD’s is so complementary in our shared aims to ensure that the changes happening in Dalston benefit everyone here and not just those who are new to our community.”
